Interview with Swiss Education Group

J-1 Interview Sessions Around the World

SHMS Palace Caux

Our teams at International Trainee Network and Odyssey International Exchange are excited to finally be back and participate at in-person hospitality events and recruitment fairs around the world.

In April, our team attended at the 17th edition of the International Recruitment Forum, organized by Swiss Education Group. The International Recruitment Forum, or IRF, is an incredible annual event where over 100 of the world’s top recruiters meet, interview and hire fantastic hospitality students from the SEG schools. The event creates a great opportunity for both students and employers to meet each other.

On Tuesday, April 26th, we met with the students and graduates from César Ritz Colleges at the Le Bouveret campus and on Wednesday, April 27th, we had the pleasure to meet the attendees from SHMS Swiss Hotel Management School at the Caux campus.

We believe that it’s important to promote and cover the different perspectives that our schools, host company partners, and J-1 exchange visitors have regarding the J-1 internship and trainee programs in the United States. Having access to as much information as possible before taking the big step to embark on a new career journey in the United States is essential for a successful J-1 program. That’s the reason why we are starting a new series of J-1 Interview Sessions Around the World.

Our teams are excited and proud to present to you the first episode of the series, where we interviewed Robert Saltz - Head of Career Services SHMS, Swiss Education Group. The interview took place at the 17th edition of the International Recruitment Forum in the beautiful Caux, Switzerland, and we want to thank him for taking the time to answer a few of our questions, but also to the schools for the invitation to the event.

International Trainee Network provides J-1 hospitality internship and trainee programs in the United States for hospitality students, graduates and young professionals from around the world. If you want to embark on a new career journey and apply for our hundreds of available openings, fill out the application form here.
